Reputable Companies
As with any other form of entertainment, casino cruises are
all the better when run by a reputable company. Knowing that
the company is interested in your safety and well-being, you
can feel comfortable and have a good time on your casino cruise.
Finding a Trustworthy Company
When choosing a trustworthy company, your first step should
be talking to others about their impressions from previous cruises.
Word of mouth is always your best bet in finding a great casino
cruise. More than likely at least one of your friends, coworkers,
or family members has taken casino cruises in the past, and they
can give you good recommendations.
Checking with Authorities
After talking to your friends and family, you may want to check
with the local Better Business Bureau. You can find out whether
the company has been reported for bad business practices in the
past. You may also want to check with the Coast Guard as they
should have a record of anything that has happened in the nearby
waters. If some shady activity has taken place on the casino
cruise in the past, the Coast Guard should be able to tell you
about it and whether things seem to have changed now.
Go With Those You Know
If you are considering taking an overnight
cruise that has a casino on board, you should generally go
with a company that you have heard of before. Although just
because a company gets their name out doesn’t make them
reputable, you can usually trust the larger lines such as Carnival.
Another option for overnight cruises is to check with a local
travel agent. They should be able to give you some quality recommendation
based not only on the casino but also on the quality of food
and rooms. Most travel agents visit the ships that they recommend,
so they will have first hand, professional knowledge of the ships
and companies; they also generally know the best deals available
at any given time. You will not be charged for this information,
but if you book a cruise through the travel agent, they will
get a commission from the company. |
